Friends of The Rude Mechanical Theatre Co
We have a thriving Friends group who support us in various ways. They promote our work by word of mouth and by distributing posters and fliers, help Front of House, provide overnight accommodation for the actors sometimes, help with costumes or in other practical ways, and so on. During a very difficult period in English theatre when huge numbers of grants are being withdrawn we more than ever need the support from people who care about what we do.
In return we send you a newsletter in the post three times a year with information about our shows and lots of fascinating background on the commedia dell’arte and related genres. You will be able to access the password protected Friends page on this website which will give you regularly updated information about our activities and communicate with us about ways in which you can be directly involved in our work.

Merchandise
We are almost ready to sell merchandise, including photographs, postcards, greetings cards, a range of posters and T-shirts online from this page. We are fortunate to have had the photographer John Stanley-Clamp as our archivist for several years and most of the photo images on the site are by him.
We have also been trying to get the team together to produce an album of our music, which is very difficult because they are all very busy actors, but at last it seems possible that it will get done in 2008!
Another target is to get the play scripts for our seven new plays into print gradually during the course of the next two years and also a book of poems and lyrics from our shows.
