‘Theatre & Jazz in a Little Top’ week in Eastbourne

Covid issues – Because of course the pandemic is still going on we can’t be certain everything will happen as planned here, but we are assuming with reasonable confidence that, as the majority of our performances are outdoors and the few that aren’t are in a tent where the sides can be rolled up if necessary, that we will be permitted to go ahead. But watch this space! Take reasonable care and follow the Government advice. This will be updated if and as regulations change.
TICKET & PROGRAMMES PRICES
PROGRAMMES
Programmes are cheaper – £2 – if you buy in advance when buying tickets. On the night they will be £3. Collect pre-paid for programmes on the night as you book in at the reception tent.

You save £2 on the seniors’ tickets and £3 on the adult tickets. NOTE! When asked to add names for the Group of 4 ticket, just put one name in in the box, not four.
Large groups of ten or more adults or seniors – You need to book by emailing therudes1948@gmail.com or phoning (01323-501260) the company. They can’t be booked online! For the whole group to be seated together they will have to arrive together. All tickets £18 each. You save £3 on the seniors’ tickets and £4 on the adult tickets!!
Adults (18 to 64) £22.00, Seniors (65+ & retired) £21.00, Students (18+ & in full time education) £15.00, Children (7 to 17) £10.00 & Families (any two adults or seniors & two children) £54.00.
If you do not have a Paypal account – use the credit or debit card ‘Check out as a guest’ option which is further down the page when you book & come to pay.
Online ticket sales close at 11.00pm the evening before the date of the show – This does not mean we are sold out. In these circumstances ring 01323-501260 to reserve tickets, or just come. We cannot guarantee, however, that you will get in, but worth a try.
ADVICE – Please note
Seating – Bring your own low backed chairs (average shoulder height). Tall chairs obstruct people’s view & they may not be admitted. Note that chairs are provided for the ‘little top’ week in Eastbourne.
Clothing – Wear warm clothes. It can get cold.
Opening time – We open one & half hours before the show starts.
Children & babies – The show is aimed at adults & is not a so-called ‘family show’, but mature children will enjoy it as long as they are prepared to sit & not run about. Do not bring babies ideally. However much we love them, they do distract. However, if you are confident they will be quiet then ok, but take them out if they make any kind of noise.
Dogs – Quiet dogs are welcome; please take out dogs that want to join in. Blind dogs only, however, for the ‘little top’ week.
Rain – We do not continue in heavy rain. If the show is cancelled before curtain up money will be refunded; if we cancel once the show is under way money will not be refunded, but you may come free to any subsequent performance as long as you re-book & tickets are available. Umbrellas must only be raised when the show comes to a stop.

Covid regulations – If Government Covid regulations are in place on the day of the performance we may have to restrict numbers. This will be done according to when you booked. The earlier you booked the more likely it is you will gain entry. If we are not allowed to admit you because numbers are too high then you will be reimbursed.
Do not come if you have Covid symptoms such as a high temperature. Wait to be seated where the House Manager puts you, avoid too much movement around the tent & wait at the end to be let out. Always think of others. More details will be published on our website nearer the time about current rules. Shove up & don’t leave gaps.
Note – This event is in a circus tent.
Entrance time – You will be allowed in from 6.00pm.
Wait to be seated – You will have to wait to be seated where the House Manager puts you. Note that because seating is restricted by space we will liaise with you in advance about how we will fit your group in. It is important you give us contact details as you book therefore.
Seating – Seating is provided. Don’t bring your own chairs; they won’t be admitted.
Rugs – There will be no sitting on rugs.
Children under 7 – They come free if they sit on laps or must pay for a seat. Don’t let little children run about. Please take them out if they are noisy. This event isn’t for children of this age, however. Please do not bring babies unless you are sure they will be quiet. Take them out if they aren’t.
Dogs – They are not permitted unless they are blind dogs. It is very important we know in advance if you are going to bring a blind dog so we can seat you appropriately.
Picnics – Picnics are allowed on the field, but not in the tent, except on your laps.
Special requirements – If you need to sit at the front because of impaired vision or hearing, or are coming in a wheelchair, it is very important that you book early and discuss the problem with us by ringing 01323-501260.
